Internship Reflection

End of Semester/Internship Reflection

As I reflect on my internship experience, I can confidently say that this has been one of the most impactful parts of my academic journey. This experience allowed me to apply what I’ve learned in the classroom to a real-world healthcare setting, while also helping me grow both personally and professionally.

Throughout my internship, I developed stronger communication, teamwork, and leadership skills. I learned how important it is to be adaptable, take initiative, and work collaboratively in a healthcare environment where every role contributes to the overall quality of care. Whether I was planning activities, participating in care conferences, or facilitating the Resident Council meeting, I was able to see firsthand how my work made a difference in residents’ lives.

One of the biggest things I gained from this experience was confidence. I learned to trust myself and realized that I am capable of taking on responsibilities and contributing in meaningful ways. This experience showed me that I have what it takes to succeed—I just needed to believe in myself.

Overall, this internship has prepared me for my future career in healthcare administration by giving me real-world experience, strengthening my professional skills, and helping me better understand the impact of leadership, communication, and patient-centered care.
